The morning service was briefly interrupted by our Church Secretary, Shirley, who marked the occasion with a short speech and the presentation of flowers. Commendation
We are proud to announce that our Square Table Luncheon Club has been presented with a silver commendation award from the Chairman of North Tyneside Council. Three church members also received awards for their contributions to the local community.
Christian Aid Week
10-16 May is Christian Aid Week, and members of British and Irish churches will be raising money from the public for valuable work, improving the lot of people in poor countries. This year’s campaign highlights the poverty and low status of women in Ethiopia, as their short video shows.
