An apology

My sincere apologies for my failure to turn up to conduct worship [on 6th July] as planned.  Unfortunately I had a puncture on my way to the church which completely ruined the tyre.  After various attempts to contact someone at the church and also to contact my breakdown insurance provider I had no success at either.  I did, in error, contact Trevor’s wife who said she would let the church know of my predicament.  I was in a panic and not thinking straight otherwise I would have contacted a taxi to take us to the church and try to sort out the problem late.  However, it is easy to be wise after the event and I didn’t do that.  By this time it was getting later and later with the result I never got to North Shields.  I am devastated at letting the church down.
God bless,
Rev. Jack Macadam
